Week One And So it Begins: Six People begin their weight-loss journey
Daryl, Lisa, Chris, Tamara, Cory, and Cindy meet each other for the first time and get a taste of the challenge ahead - in the form of fitness testing. The first task is climbing an enormous staircase that starts in Edmonton 's river valley and zigzags endlessly up a steep hill. The challenge continues with a mile-long run around a track. Both these activities are monitored for time and heart rate so we get a clear sense of the participants' starting point. Back at the gym, all of the participants are measured and weighed. Throughout the episode the participants share their hopes and dreams, assess their fellow participants, and stake their claim on goals for the six months ahead. |
