Now, it is my life and the things that I have learned from my coaches and my teammates will live on with me forever. As I told Daryl, I used to weigh over 400lbs and now I have lost 145lbs and 18" off my waist, have competed at the sport I love, losing and winning...discipline and determination are inside of everyone - no one can hand it to you, you have to find it inside of you. Now I am a 275lb, 44" waist, Golden Gloves winner...I still am trying to take off another 25lbs to get to my goal of 250...work hard and you will see results.

At Bonnie Doon Mall yesterday, I know the show is over but I just thought I'd tell ya that you looked great. I only saw bits and pieces of the show but I saw enough to know that you shouldn't be so hard on yourself. As for dating (you could be hitched by now for all I know) find someone who loves you now for what and who you are and have them work at it with you. Good on ya man! I was channel surfing today, avoiding doing work and practising my lines for a play when I came across the show.

It takes an incredible amount of guts to spill your story on a TV show and I really admire you for it.

As for being single, I know exactly where you are coming from. I work in television as well (I sell TV shows) and having a busy schedule makes it hard to eat heathly. My office jokes that my four food groups are eat-in, take-out, frozen and canned!

Looks like I'm not the only one out there who thinks you are adorable!! You've got a great look and certainly would be someone I'd approach at a bar, which is not something I would normally do. My only advice is that you see this weight loss as a goal for yourself and not to attract women. You'll do that enough on your own! If you are happy with yourself, the rest will follow, or at least that's what my skinny friends tell me.

I moved to Montreal from Toronto for work, so would love to see your comedy act in either town. Will you be heading back to the Just for Laughs Festival? I can't compete with the brownie dessert at the Hard Rock, but Montreal has some pretty great desserts too!

I have to admit I was more than a little shocked to see how "the others" talked about you. Don't get me wrong.. I'm sure they're great individuals.. but it's too bad that some people take life waaay to seriously some times! Comic relief keeps lifes problems from consuming you! Question for you... Have you had a problem with knowing when you've lost enuf and just need to maintain? I'm only asking because I'm down to 129lbs (I'm 5'4) after losing 55lbs, but I still feel like I need to drop more despite pleas from friends and family. I'm not trying to be un-realistically thin but I'm just not satisfied with myself yet. Does that make sense or am I cracked? ha ha :)

Anyways.... keep up the awesome effort! You must be very proud of yourself and I'm sure your mom is too! No worries about her approval (it's yours I'm worried about ;) ).. mom's love me! The blonde hair, blue eyes and innocent look fools them every time! LOL!

I watched last years season (loved it) and when I saw first episode of THIS season, I said to myself, "my god, that guy is a male version me me!". (minus the facial hair of course). I've lost over 115lbs over the last four years and have to say yes, it was a struggle, but well worth it! -my head doesn't feel like it's going to explode when I bend over...oh yeah, I can see my feet too. damn their ugly. All the best in your fantastic weightloss challenge and know that other 'everyday people' are out here cheering you guys on.... PS. Question: Other than looking to date more frequently, what is the one thing you cannot wait to do once you feel you're at a more comfortable weight?

I'm 28 and have spent many nights looking at the ceiling alone myself, but recently lost 55lbs myself and am finally starting to feel good about myself. I just wanted to say congratulations to all of the participants! You all did well, and I am sure many people are motivated by the successes they saw on the show. I know watching your struggles has helped to keep me motivated! Sure, some of the successes were larger than others, but you all had accomplishments during the show. For instance, every one of you improved your times for the stair climb and the mile run after the 6 months, which is great!

I feel like I have been on your journey with you, in many ways. I still have a long way to go (another 100 pounds, I figure), but I know I'll get there even if it takes me 2 more years. I'm already 28 pounds down, so I am looking at what I have accomplished so far, rather than focusing on how far I still have to go. With any luck at all, I am now no longer a candidate for a heart attack by the time I'm 40 - just 3 years down the road!

Thank you all for your inspiration, and for letting us invade your lives for 6 months. I doubt it could have been easy!

I've been watching this show since the third season, and this season was by far my favorite. You were one of my favorites as well, because you knew that there was a problem and you knew you had to fix it. You didn't deny any of you problems, and you didn't make up excuses for anything you did. And, you didn't lie about your motivation for wanting to loose weight. You were honest with the fact that you wanted to feel more appealing to women. And for this, I commend you. I've seen so many people in my life blame everything and everyone around them for their weight (and other) problems, and never realising that it was all their doing. It was all under their control, if they wanted it to be. With watching the show from day one, I feel that I've gotten to know you a little bit. You seem to be an amazing person, and I'm very happy for you in your change. I wish you nothing but the best.

Some people may not understand how not having control of your weight can affect you. There are many more of us out there than you probably realize.

But if I can infuse a spark into your situation, even losing ten pounds makes you feel more attractive to the opposite sex. It happened to me in December. I finally lost ten pounds and suddenly noticed that I was standing taller and was projecting a more confident attitude. And I noticed men looking at me! Over the last couple of years I hadn't dared to see if they were noticing!

Hang in there, realize how much you have to offer a woman (including an amazing smile) and keep on keepin' on :)

I have been with Harmony since last summer, and have lost 30 pounds, about one to two pounds a week. It is slow, but the lifestyle change stays with you forever! Thank you for having the courage to begin with this program, Dr. Paul and the staff will help, and I used to weigh 100 pounds than I do now, and when I could not do it by myself anymore, I found Harmony, and they came through, 30 and still losing!
